An endorsement, also known as an amendatory endorsement or insurance endorsement, is a modification made to an existing insurance policy. It is used to add, remove, or modify the coverage of a policy, tailoring it to the specific needs of the insured.
It is a way to personalize the coverage and enhance its benefits. For example, an endorsement can be used to include additional protection for specific risks or events. Insurance endorsements can also be used to add or remove beneficiaries, adjust coverage limits, or exclude certain risks.
It is important to note that endorsements are subject to the specific policies and regulations of each insurance company. The availability and scope of endorsements may vary depending on the company.
As we already explained, endorsement refers to the modification or amendment of an existing insurance policy. It can apply to different types of insurance, including the Difference in Conditions (DIC) policy.
To carry out the endorsement, you can request it and, at PSIC, we will evaluate the request for approval. Subsequently, it will be issued to the existing policy, which will explain the changes made. Please note that endorsements may vary depending on the type of policy. Consult your declaration page for a list of endorsements that are effective to your policy.
