California State University- Fullerton student Yenia Padilla Sixtos was recognized for her academic excellence in the Center for Insurance Studies. Lance Thompson, Director of Call Center & Retention, was proud to present Ms. Sixtos a $1000 scholarship on behalf of Pacific Specialty Insurance Company. Yenia embodies the spirit and discipline we look for in students who we hope will become the next generation of decision-makers in the insurance industry. Were excited to present her with this award, said Thompson.
Ms. Sixto expressed, I truly appreciate those who value higher education and support students who wish to continue their studies. Pacific Specialty Insurance Company Insurance has given me this wonderful opportunity to continue pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Finance from California State University, Fullerton.
This scholarship has more than just monetary value to me; it is an opportunity to engage more with my community and continue learning about the Insurance Industry. Being a full-time student who works two jobs and takes part in various extracurricular activities has proven to be difficult but thanks to Pacific Specialty Insurance Company Insurance I can now pursue more volunteer activities and give back to my community.
The Center for Insurance Studies was developed by Dr. Weili Lu of California State University, Fullerton and is the largest of its kind, West of the Mississippi. In order to qualify for the scholarship, students must be working towards a major in business with a 3.0 or higher grade point average and have completed eligible courses in insurance or finance.
